EWA offers free access to online courses about ocean energy for ICOE OEE 2026 participants

The ocean energy sector is developing rapidly, with new technologies, business models, standards, and challenges emerging across the industry. To support professionals, students, researchers, and organisations working in the ocean energy sector, Deftiq, together with Bluespring have developed a catalogue of online Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) courses as part of the Offshore For Sure project.
These courses provide accessible and flexible learning opportunities for anyone who wants to improve their understanding of offshore renewable energy and its role in the energy transition. Whether you are new to the sector, working on innovative technologies, involved in policy development, or looking to expand your professional knowledge, the Deftiq ORE courses offer valuable insights.
What do the courses offer?
The courses cover a wide range of topics related to ocean energy, from technology development and testing to certification, environmental assessment, finance, and operations & maintenance. The courses are fully online, allowing participants to learn whenever and wherever it suits them. The courses combine expert knowledge with interactive learning elements, helping participants build a practical understanding. The catalogue includes more than 10 expert-led courses, offering over 40 hours of flexible online learning.
How to access courses for free
As part of ICOE OEE 2026, all participants receive 90 days of complimentary access to professional development courses. Provided by EWA in collaboration with Deftiq.
