It is mandatory in our company to do everything with the environment in mind. Our solutions are proven fish-friendly and certified.
Wave energy converter
Hans Lustig and Sten Swanenberg have developed a simple wave energy converter with a focus on cost reduction.
Sten: "The heart of DWP consists of a cylindrical float and an internal pendulum system to convert energy when the float rotates back and forth on the waves. We have tested various models extensively in the Deltares Wave Flume and last year in MARIN. We are now preparing our sea pilot for the coast near Scheveningen via Campus@Sea."

KNSWING
Wave energy converter
The KNSwing, conceived by Kim Nielsen, can generate energy on a large scale in WEC farms and on a smaller scale in floating breakwaters to supply power to ports, for example.
MEA partners ECN, EMEC, MaREI and MARIN are helping to further develop the technology. Kim is looking for help in developing the air turbines and electrical systems for the floating breakwaters. Interested in working with us? Contact Kim Nielsen!
Tidal stream kite
SeaQurrent develops the TidalKite, an underwater kite for sustainable electricity production from tidal and ocean currents. Tidal energy is reliable, predictable, available daily and therefore the cheapest option for continuous sustainable electricity. The unique 3D harnessing makes the TidalKite widely applicable, also in shallower Dutch coastal waters with lower current velocities.
Wave energy converter
The Slow Mill consists of a float with blades that are variably connected to an anchor on the seabed. Waves push the float up and the blades away from the anchor. In this way, not only the up and down movement but also the back and forth movement of the waves is used. The entire unit follows the orbital or sometimes elliptical wave path, but when taking the inside bend it goes a little slower than the wave, hence the name: Slow Mill.
Wave energy converter
Symphony Wave Power is a new technology based on more than 20 years of experience in the development of wave and tidal technology. The technology is a product of co-makership between science and industry led by Teamwork Technology BV in the Netherlands. It represents the know-how of a network of expertise in Europe and beyond. Developed with support from the European Commission and with expertise in the offshore industry.
Salinity gradient power
Blue Energy is well known for generating 24/7 CO2-freesustainable electricity from salt and fresh water, thus improving grid stability in the sustainable energy mix.
A demo pilot is operating successfully on the Afsluitdijk. This pilot is planned to be scaled-up in the coming 3 years.
On the basis of this technology REDstack now offers energy-efficient, leak-free and industrially produced ElectroMembrane Stacks as a platform technology for resource recovery. Markets served range from Nitrogen recovery, Carbon Capture, Lithium recovery and power storage. These ElectroMembrane Stracks are commercially available and already show significant sales.

Our team builds on years of experience in tidal energy and offshore engineering. We develop a range of turbines that produce energy at a cost level that is competitive with solar or wind energy, but more reliable and predictable! W2E for reliable and sustainable energy solutions!
Wave energy converter
Weco is a young start-up with big plans. We have a vision in which the Netherlands, Europe and the world are supplied with electricity from waves at sea. By combining wave energy with other technologies such as offshore wind, not only is space at sea saved, but the security of supply is also improved. In this way, we provide a sustainable but also affordable future for our children.
Wave energy converter
The Wavehexapod is a hexapod with 3 buoys and 6 generators. The generators hang on a fixed suspension mechanism to a larger submersible that can hang up to 9 hexapods.
With the hexapod we can follow the waves as well as possible to extract energy from them. Both in the up and down movement and the horizontal movement.
The Wavehexapod is well suited for use in offshore wind infrastructure, but also as a stand-alone solution.
